The Role

Our client is looking for a Director of Marketing who combines strategic thinking with strong execution capabilities.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can identify opportunities, make informed decisions quickly, test ideas, analyze results, and continuously optimize performance. The position reports directly to the CEO and will own the marketing function end-to-end, with a primary focus on driving revenue growth through demand generation and inbound pipeline creation.

The company already has several marketing initiatives in place, including content programs, thought leadership efforts, events, community engagement, and a growing digital presence. The successful candidate will evaluate what is working, identify the highest-impact opportunities, and expand the company's marketing engine beyond its current channels.

This person will also partner closely with a Product Marketer who will focus on messaging, positioning, customer stories, and sales enablement.

What You'll Own

  • Demand generation strategy and execution across content, email, social media, and paid channels
  • Growth and optimization of LinkedIn as a key inbound acquisition channel
  • Newsletter, podcast, blog, YouTube, review platforms, and content initiatives
  • Event sponsorships and community engagement programs
  • Website messaging, conversion optimization, and landing pages
  • Core messaging and positioning in partnership with company leadership
  • Marketing performance metrics tied directly to pipeline creation, revenue growth, and business outcomes

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B SaaS marketing
  • At least 2 years leading or owning a marketing function
  • Strong demand generation background with a proven record of generating qualified pipeline and revenue impact
  • Comfortable being accountable for revenue targets and business outcomes
  • Experience working in partnership ecosystems, channel programs, partner marketing, or related environments is highly valued
  • Highly execution-oriented and capable of building programs from the ground up
  • Strong analytical thinking and business judgment
  • Exceptional written communication skills
  • Ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on when necessary
  • Experience managing or mentoring marketing team members

What Will Not Work Here

  • Focusing on strategy without execution
  • Relying on frameworks without validating them through real-world testing
  • Waiting for perfect information before taking action
  • Measuring success based on activity rather than business impact

Nice to Have

  • Experience with partnerships, channel programs, ecosystem-led growth, or related B2B SaaS environments
  • Familiarity with HubSpot and modern marketing operations
  • Experience managing junior marketers or building teams

Compensation
