MEP Designer (Fire Sprinkler)
Salary Range: $1,213 to $1,560 per month
Join an established fire protection company with over 20 years of experience and help design fire sprinkler systems for commercial projects. What You'll Do:
- Design fire sprinkler systems from architectural plans using industry-standard software.
- Review project specifications and apply the correct ICC and NFPA fire protection standards throughout the design process.
- Produce complete sprinkler layouts and working drawings ready for internal review and engineering approval, with potential involvement in hydraulic calculations when required.
- Manage assigned projects in Asana, maintain organized documentation, and keep project statuses updated throughout the workflow.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction trades when required.
- Ask questions proactively whenever project information is unclear rather than making assumptions.
- Revise plans based on review comments and customer or architectural changes.
- Prioritize multiple projects and revisions while keeping work moving forward and completing assignments within expected timeframes with minimal supervision.
- Potentially assist with resolving design-related installation issues that arise in the field.

- Problem Solver: Knows when to ask questions instead of making assumptions that could lead to design errors.
- Independent: Can manage assigned work with minimal follow-up and consistently meet deadlines.
- Organized: Comfortable handling project revisions, tracking progress, and returning to interrupted work efficiently.
- Collaborative: Able to coordinate effectively with engineers and other construction trades.
- Location: Must live in Colombia.
