About The Role

We are seeking a Community Growth Specialist to build and own Ria Money Transfer’s first dedicated social media presence in Colombia — one of the largest remittance markets in Latin America. This role will be responsible for launching Colombia-specific channels, creating culturally resonant content, managing community engagement, and growing an active audience from zero.

The ideal candidate is a creative self-starter with deep Colombian cultural fluency, hands-on experience with AI content tools, and a passion for building communities around brands that connect families across borders.

Responsibilities

Social Media & Content (Primary Focus)

• Own the content strategy, calendar, and posting cadence across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook for Ria Colombia
• Produce high-volume, culturally relevant content (static, video, carousel, reels) using AI-first tools like Midjourney, Canva, CapCut, and Freepik
• Develop content pillars rooted in Colombian culture — festivals, regional identity, family connection, and the diaspora experience
• Brief and coordinate freelance creative teams for hero content, video production, and photography as needed
• Adapt global brand guidelines into locally resonant messaging and visual storytelling
  
  

Community Management

• Manage 100% of community engagement — DMs, comments, and mentions with consistent response times
• Build and nurture an engaged audience of Colombian remittance receivers, turning followers into brand advocates
• Monitor audience sentiment, surface community insights, and feed them back to the Growth team
• Identify and act on cultural moments, trending topics, and real-time engagement opportunities
  
  

Influencer & Partnership Coordination

• Source and manage relationships with Colombian influencers and micro-creators within a dedicated budget
• Execute monthly influencer collaborations aligned with the content calendar and growth targets
• Track influencer performance and optimize partnerships based on engagement and follower acquisition
  
  

Reporting & Analysis

• Track follower growth, engagement rates, content performance, and channel health using social analytics tools and internal dashboards
• Generate regular performance reports with actionable insights to guide content and community strategy
• Monitor the Colombian social media landscape to identify content gaps and emerging platform trends
  
  

Collaboration

• Work closely with the Digital Growth team on strategy, brand alignment, and performance marketing integration
• Coordinate with Customer Care on community response protocols and escalation paths
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure all content complies with brand guidelines and local regulatory requirements
  
  

Key Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience managing social media channels in Colombia, ideally building accounts from an early stage
• Native Colombian Spanish with deep cultural fluency — regional nuances, local slang, festivals, and what resonates across different audiences
• Hands-on experience with AI creative tools (Midjourney, Canva, CapCut, or similar) for high-volume content production
• Proven community management skills — demonstrated ability to grow engaged audiences, not just follower counts
• Experience coordinating influencer campaigns, even on a small scale
• Strong analytical skills and comfort reading dashboards, engagement metrics, and content performance data
• Self-starter mindset — this is a founding role with no existing playbook; you will build the process
• Excellent communication skills; ability to translate cultural insights into actionable content strategy
• English proficiency strongly preferred.

• Experience in fintech, remittances, or financial services marketing
• Understanding of the Colombian diaspora dynamic — how receivers and senders interact across borders
• Experience with social analytics platforms (Meta Business Suite, TikTok Business Center, Metricool)
• Experience with internal analytics tools such as Amplitude or similar BI dashboards
• Knowledge of SEO fundamentals and how social content supports web discovery
