Regional Operations & Planning Specialist Sr Latam
Act as a regional liaison between the LATAM subsidiaries and the U.S. corporate organization to coordinate, communicate, and execute initiatives related to operations, supply chain, and planning.
This position will play a strategic and cross-functional coordination role, supporting regional alignment, initiative follow-up, operational issue resolution, new product introduction forecasting and effective communication between local and corporate teams.
This position will not have direct responsibility for local demand planning activities or functional oversight of the demand planners within each subsidiary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Regional Coordination & Communication
- Serve as the primary liaison between LATAM subsidiaries, LATAM distributor markets, and corporate teams for operations and planning-related matters.
- Drive regional alignment, follow-up of commitments, and effective communication across teams.
Operational Support & Alignment
- Coordinate actions between local demand planners, operations teams, and corporate stakeholders.
- Support the professional development of local planners and distributor management teams through training in tools and methodologies.
- Consolidate regional KPIs and support continuous improvement and standardization initiatives.
New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Coordinate the regional New Product Introduction (NPI) process between LATAM subsidiaries demand planning and corporate teams.
- Consolidate regional forecasts, challenge assumptions, drive operational readiness, and serve as the primary regional point of contact for launch initiatives.
Critical Escalation Coordination
- Coordinate follow-up and resolution of critical regional escalations related to operations and supply chain.
- Drive cross-functional alignment during high-priority and high-impact situations.
Regional Projects & Initiatives Coordination
- Coordinate implementation and follow-up of regional projects and initiatives.
- Ensure communication, change management, and alignment among regional and corporate stakeholders.
Governance & Operational Follow-up
- Track regional initiatives, priorities, risks, and escalations.
- Review, challenge and enhance regional dashboards, reporting, and operational visibility mechanisms.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support strategic regional initiatives and special projects as required.
- Provide operational coordination and analytical support for cross-functional and corporate-driven initiatives.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance regional processes, visibility, and operational alignment.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree required in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related fields.
· Preferred postgraduate studies in Logistics, Supply Chain, or MBA 5-8 years of relevant work experience in supply chain, operations, planning, or related areas.
· Experience working in regional or multinational environments and coordinating regional cross-functional initiatives, preferably in medical devices or regulated industries.
· Proficiency in platforms such as SAP APO, Excel and data analysis tools.
· English level: advanced/proficient; Portuguese is a plus.
· Experience in process improvement and adoption of digital tools is considered a plus.
· Maintain availability to travel to the United States, with a valid visa or willingness to obtain one.
