Responsibilities / Duties
- Design, plan, diagram, and continuously document enterprise network infrastructure.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, internet, and internal network services.
- Set up and support high-availability solutions for network and application layers.
- Work with equipment and tools from Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto, Zscaler, Meraki, and similar vendors.
- Coordinate with IT security to align network controls and policies.
- Monitor performance and adjust configurations when needed. Lead troubleshooting and resolve advanced technical issues.
- Work with project teams to deliver network tasks on schedule and within budget.
- Provide support and training to staff involved in routine tasks or project work.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in network architecture, design, implementation, and support in enterprise hybrid environments.
- Ability to create documentation using network and security architecture artifacts (diagrams, models, principles, patterns, standards, and related taxonomy).
- Expertise with network device configuration and troubleshooting (Fortinet, Cisco, or similar).
- Comprehensive understanding of network operating systems, such as FortiOS or Cisco IOS.
- Skilled in IPv4/IPv6 design, subnetting, and routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
- Hands-on with GRE, IPSEC, QoS, VLANs, and multicast.
- Familiarity with SNMP, SSH, syslog, RADIUS/TACACS, and standard network management practices.
- Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools.
- Up to date with modern networking technologies, such as SD-WAN, SASE, wireless, IoT/edge devices, and cloud networking.
- Ability to manage parallel projects, shift priorities, and respond quickly when needed.
- Clear communication skills with both technical and non-technical people.
- Organized, collaborative, and able to work in distributed or multicultural teams.
- Specialization in network infrastructure and security.
- CCNP certification; advanced certifications such as CCIE, JNCIP, or JNCIE.
- Experience designing large-scale enterprise data networks.
- Familiarity with zero-trust network concepts.
- Experience with automation or scripting for network tasks.
