Business Development Consultant (BDC) – Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
The Business Development Consultant (BDC) is responsible for generating demand for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) solutions through outbound prospecting within an assigned territory or vertical. This role serves as the primary point of contact for prospective clients and plays a critical part in qualifying opportunities and building a high-quality pipeline for Oracle's sales organization.
We are seeking a candidate who is committed to building a long-term career in technology sales, with a focus on developing a strong command of sales methodology and the Oracle portfolio.
Requirements
Prior experience in sales, business development, telesales, or inside sales.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to handle objections and lead consultative conversations.
Strong discipline in working toward metrics, targets, and structured processes.
Genuine interest in cloud technology and willingness to develop in-depth technical fluency.
Advanced Spanish proficiency; intermediate to advanced English preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with or interest in cloud infrastructure, databases, or artificial intelligence.
Exposure to consultative selling methodologies such as MEDDIC, BANT, or SPIN Selling.
Experience within technology, software, or B2B services organizations.

Consultative approach grounded in understanding client needs before proposing solutions.
Resilience and disciplined organization.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
Success Metrics
Depth and quality of opportunity qualification (not volume alone).
Sales meetings generated and their conversion rate into qualified opportunities.
Accuracy and consistency of CRM documentation.
Sustained achievement of quarterly targets.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Identify, contact, and qualify prospects through outbound calls, email, and other prospecting activities.
Apply structured discovery methodology (MEDDIC) to gain a thorough understanding of each client's business needs, technical challenges, and strategic priorities.
Generate qualified opportunities and coordinate meetings with Oracle's sales and solution engineering teams.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date CRM records covering accounts, contacts, activities, and next steps.
Continuously build technical knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, including compute, database, AI, security, and cloud architecture.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, and Solution Engineering to maximize lead conversion.
Consistently meet monthly and quarterly targets for pipeline generation and opportunity quality
