As our Global Consolidation and Financial Reporting Manager, you’ll engage in a variety of essential tasks—from performing advanced financial analysis to supporting our company’s global consolidation processes. Responsibilities
- Ensure Financial Accuracy: Uphold the integrity of our accounting records, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with US GAAP standards.
- Support Global Reporting: Aid in the global consolidation and reporting processes, including foreign exchange rate accounting, elimination of intercompany balances, and investment in subsidiaries.
- Monthly Reconciliation: Conduct intercompany reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and ensure smooth month-end closings.
- Tax Compliance: Prepare, review, and ensure the timely filing and payment of national and municipal tax returns and other applicable statutory tax obligations, including income tax, VAT, withholding taxes, ICA, and other required filings.
- Financial Analysis: Dive into profit-and-loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports to provide insights that guide executive decision-making.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with teams like Corporate Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and Corporate Accounting to ensure cohesive accounting conclusions and smooth close timelines.
- Support External Audits: Assist in preparing financial statement footnotes and provide necessary documentation for annual external audits.
- Special Projects: Lead or contribute to unique accounting projects, M&A support, and respond to ad-hoc requests as needed.
- Enhance Processes: Identify improvement areas within internal processes and controls, driving efficiency within the consolidation process.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in relevant accounting roles, with knowledge in public accounting and/or industry-specific accounting, systems, and internal controls.
- Curiosity & Drive: A desire to learn and an intellectual curiosity to stay updated on evolving accounting standards and practices.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate and present insights.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with a self-directed approach.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Language Skills: Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
- Certification: CPA or active CPA candidate status.
- Public Accounting Experience: Valuable experience in public accounting.
- ERP Knowledge: Familiarity with consolidation and ERP systems and experience with GAAP financial statement preparation.
