Purpose
Develop and validate fragrances in close cooperation with CFMs and Senior Evaluators, with clear understanding of customer requirements, in order to drive business value and ensure successful completion of external projects, according to Fragrance Evaluation objectives.

Purpose
Develop and validate fragrances in close cooperation with CFMs and Senior Evaluators, with clear understanding of customer requirements, in order to drive business value and ensure successful completion of external projects, according to Fragrance Evaluation objectives.
Core Responsibilities
Fragrance Evaluation
- Complete simple briefs with coaching from CFM, using IBIS system
- Support Sr. Evaluators/CFM's on Colibri management responsibility
- Work with Perfumers on technical modifications
- Conduct internal panel tests as directed by CFM
- Assist Marketing/Sales in olfactory mapping
- Prepare internal/small customer presentations
- Write simple creative fragrance descriptions
- Attend validation panels to review/evaluate library entries
- Search FragranceLand for relevant themes
- Search Galleria for candidates/creative starting points
- Participate in meetings relating to building and curating the best in class fragrance collection
- Self-develop and train on-the-job and via Givaudan Learning Resource Centre
- University Degree (or equivalent)
- Verbal and written command of English
- 1-2 years experience as intern/trainee in evaluation, or with related industry experience
- Proficiency in using common PC applications
- Competent olfactory skills: ability to define, recognize and memorize olfactory notes and fragrance language terms and determine olfactory directions (to be assessed by standardized olfactory test)
- Ability to create and make presentations for their submissions
Olfactory and Evaluation Expertise
- Apply Raw Material understanding to fragrance development process
- Ability to build and incorporate basic understanding of consumer olfactory preferences into fragrance evaluation
- Willingness to develop competent knowledge of fragrance applications across categories and reactions/interactions across different bases
- Competent knowledge of Givaudan Applications/Evaluation/Research methodologies, principles, protocols and documentation
- Start to develop ability to select and submit from oil or blind for activation projects
- Develop opportunistic mindset - ability to balance speed of response and fragrance quality
- Basic knowledge of fragrance products, general market dynamics, and key customers
- Customer Knowledge/Relationship
- Ability to build knowledge of customers' products and processes
- Take all opportunities to build cross category knowledge
- Understanding of Givaudan's brief process and functional interfaces
- Time Management skills
- Effective utilization of Givaudan systems (IBIS, Fragranceland, Galleria etc.) to identify themes and resources to meet project priorities
- At ease with digital solutions
