As a Credit and Collection Specialist, you will leverage your expertise in finance and customer relations to oversee credit assessments, monitor receivables, and engage proactively with clients to maintain timely payments. This position offers a vital role in our Colombia office, directly impacting the efficiency and accuracy of our finance function within a global service provider environment.
Your day-to-day
- Conduct thorough credit evaluations and risk assessments of new and existing clients.
- Manage and monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely collections and minimize overdue payments.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with customers to resolve payment issues diplomatically.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reconcile discrepancies and improve credit policies.
- Prepare regular reports on collection performance and credit exposure for management review.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the credit and collection workflow.
- Proven experience in credit management, collections, or related finance roles.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess creditworthiness and financial risks.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for effective customer interaction.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with finance software and tools, as well as MS Office applications.
- Fluency in Spanish and English is advantageous.
