BIM Manager – Building Mechanical & Electrical

WSP is seeking a BIM Manager to join our Quebec Buildings team, supporting the Mechanical and Electrical disciplines. Reporting to the Team Lead, the successful candidate will be responsible for BIM management, production coordination, and project delivery.

The Quebec Buildings team is involved in the design of transportation, healthcare, educational, commercial, residential, and light industrial facilities. The group specializes in large-scale and complex projects, with a strong focus on sustainable construction and alternative delivery methods, including Public-Private Partnership (P3) projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the company's BIM standards.

• Prepare BIM project documentation, including BEP, BIM Management Plans, EIRs, and related documents.

• Develop BIM models for Mechanical and Electrical disciplines.

• Perform model quality control and ensure compliance with BIM standards.

• Act as a BIM subject matter expert.

• Collaborate closely with project teams.

• Configure and manage platforms such as Autodesk Forma, Revizto, Bluebeam, and Clarity.

• Produce BIM coordination and project reports.

• Support the advancement and implementation of technologies that enhance BIM processes.

• Promote innovation and digital best practices within the team.

• Provide user support and participate in technical training initiatives.

• Drive automation initiatives within BIM projects.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of experience working on BIM projects of varying size and complexity.

• Formal training in BIM Coordination or BIM Management.

• Interest in and knowledge of Artificial Intelligence applications.

• Understanding of the building engineering and construction environment.

• Advanced proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, Revizto, Dynamo, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft tools and automation solutions such as Power Automate.

• Familiarity with ISO 19650 standards.

• Experience with reality capture technologies and point cloud processing software (Cyclone Register/3DR, Trimble Business Center, RealWorks, CloudCompare) is considered an asset.

• Fluent in both French and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Dynamic, motivated, and proactive approach.

• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and deliver results.

• Advanced English proficiency and French language proficiency at a minimum B2 level.

Any equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
